Didn’t Sandals announce a resort in Mexico?
Back in 2016, Sandals talked publicly about building its first Mexico resort in the Riviera Maya, north of Playa del Carmen. That resort never opened, and there is no Mexico resort on Sandals’ booking site today. If that changes, we’ll update this page.

The closest Sandals for a Cancun-style quick trip
- Sandals Royal Bahamian (Nassau, Bahamas): the closest Sandals to the U.S., about 45 minutes by air from Miami and roughly an hour and a half from Atlanta. Transfers from the airport are short, and the resort has its own private island.
