Welcome to the Disneyland Hotel here at Disneyland Paris.
I have to start by saving that this Hotel is stunning. It is definitely the center piece of the Disneyland Park and is actually the entrance to the park itself. When you walk up this is the first sight you see, the beautiful gardens, ponds and water features, flowers and topiaries, and this magnificent Victorian Era Resort.
Underneath the resort is the entrance to Disneyland Park with covered ticket booths and a covered entrance making easy to get out of the sun or rain to enter the park.
There are several paths to explore and fantastic photo opportunities when you are walking up to the park. Have the time to explore all the nooks and crannies here was a great deal of fun, and I am sure most families with a limited day or two just run right by.
The resort is very much like the Grand Floridian from the outside and on the inside.
To the far right is the main lobby, you can enter the main lobby by car on the extreme right, or walk in from the ground level instead of going into the Disneyland Park.
The lobby has the same feel as the Grand Floridian at Walt Disney World but on a much smaller scale. This was the only lobby at any of the Disneyland Paris resorts that gave me that “Wow” feeling when I entered. It is also the only lobby that was really built for more than just checking in and checking out people. It is still small compared to the Grand Floridian, but it is perfect for sitting and people watching while the rest of your party is getting ready back in the room for your day in the parks.
There is also a bibbidi bobbidi boutique of sorts just up the stairs tucked away as a temporary room on the first floor walkway.
The resort is basically three buildings. The Lobby building connects to the main center structure via an enclosed walkway on the top floor. You can get some views, not spectacular, from the park from these glass enclosed walkways between the buildings.
The main center building is the one you will see most photographed as it is the one you see when you walk directly to the park. It houses the majority of shops and restaurants.
The last building has access to the enclosed pool and spa area.
I believe all buildings contain rooms.
The cast members costumes, décor, music, molding, artwork, all will remind you of the Grand Floridian.
If you have the money to spend this is the Disney Resort to stay at during your Disneyland Paris vacation. The resort is stunning, clean, have a friendly staff and you are literally at the entrance to the Park.
