The cheapest Sandals resorts you can book right now are Sandals Negril (from about $189 per person, per night) and Sandals Ochi (from about $192), both in Jamaica, followed by Sandals Halcyon Beach in Saint Lucia (from about $215). Negril and Ochi trade the top spot depending on your dates, but Ochi is the one I see come in cheapest most consistently, year after year.

Every Sandals is all-inclusive, so even the lowest-priced one covers your meals, premium drinks, tips, transfers, and water sports. I’ve personally stayed at all 17 resorts, so below you’ll get the full price ranking plus my honest take on whether the cheapest ones are worth it.

Cheapest Sandals Resort is Sandals Ochi in Jamaica
Sandals Ochi in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, is the resort I see price in lowest most often.

Key Takeaways

  • Cheapest right now: Sandals Negril ($189), Sandals Ochi ($192), and Sandals Halcyon Beach ($215), per person, per night.
  • Most expensive: Sandals Saint Vincent, the newest resort in the chain, starts around $420.
  • Three low-priced Jamaica resorts are closed for Hurricane Melissa renovations: South Coast reopens November 18, 2026; Montego Bay and Caribbean Cay (formerly Royal Caribbean) reopen December 18, 2026.
  • Cheapest isn’t always best value. Transfer times, airfare, older entry-level rooms, and access to sister resorts can matter more than a small difference in the nightly rate.
  • Booking with Pixie costs $0 extra. Sandals charges the same price whether you book direct or through us, and we re-apply any better offer that launches before final payment.

Which Sandals resort is the cheapest?

Sandals Negril is the cheapest Sandals resort currently open, starting around $189 per person, per night, with Sandals Ochi right behind at about $192. Sandals Montego Bay has historically been even lower (about $180), but it is closed until December 18, 2026.

Here is every Sandals resort, ranked from cheapest to most expensive by starting rate. Prices are “from” rates per person, per night, based on double occupancy. They change with your travel dates, room category, and whatever sale is running, so they are for reference only, not a quote. Contact us for the latest pricing on your dates.

The 5 cheapest Sandals resorts (and whether they’re worth it)

Short answer: yes, all five are worth it, but each one comes with a trade-off you should know before you book. Here’s my first-hand verdict on each, in price order.

1Sandals Negril, Jamaica: from $189 per person, per night

White sand and turquoise water on Seven Mile Beach at Sandals Negril, Jamaica

Verdict: the best beach you can get at the lowest Sandals price. Sandals Negril sits right on Jamaica’s famous Seven Mile Beach, and your room is just steps from the sand. It’s a boutique-sized resort, with 226 rooms and suites on 12 acres, so it’s easy to get your bearings on day one.

My favorite way to end each night here is at Latitudes, the over-the-water bar, at sunset. I really enjoy the staff at Negril every time I go, and don’t miss Brava, one of the best restaurants anywhere.

The catch: Negril mixes original Jamaican rooms with newer suites and villas, and several entry-level rooms are affordable because they are older.

Pros

  • Seven Mile Beach is steps from your room
  • Small and easy to navigate
  • Latitudes over-the-water bar and some great dining
  • Room options for almost every budget

Cons

  • About 1 hour 15 minutes from Montego Bay’s airport, so early flights mean very early pickups
  • Seven Mile Beach is public, so expect vendors (a friendly “no, thank you” works)
  • The cheapest rooms are the older ones
  • Negril rarely shows up in the weekly 7-7-7 deal (about 15% of weeks we’ve tracked)

Cheapest room to book: an entry-level original room. If you want a newer room for a little more, ask us which categories are worth the step up.

2Sandals Ochi, Jamaica: from $192 per person, per night

Sandals Ochi Resort night life, a themed party under colorful stage lights

Verdict: the most resort for your money, and the one I recommend most to couples on a budget. Sandals Ochi is spread over 100 acres in Ocho Rios, split between a hilltop section with views over the Caribbean Sea and a beachside village. With 16 restaurants, a speakeasy, and a lively nightlife scene, it’s hard to get bored even on a full week.

Its size is exactly why the price stays low. Sandals Ochi is one of the largest Sandals properties, with over 500 rooms, so there are more rooms to fill. On one trip I stayed next door at Royal Plantation, and we’d hang out at the Ochi swim-up bar, then ride “The Hop” shuttle up to the hillside for jerk pork and chicken at the Jerk Shack.

The trade-off: it’s far less intimate than the smaller resorts, and Ochi guests don’t get exchange privileges at Royal Plantation (it only works the other way).

Pros

  • 16 restaurants plus a speakeasy
  • One of the best nightlife scenes at any Sandals
  • Choice of hillside or beachside settings
  • In the weekly 7-7-7 deal most weeks (about 67% of weeks we’ve tracked)
  • Reopened December 6, 2025 after Hurricane Melissa

Cons

  • Big and busy, not a quiet boutique feel
  • Hillside rooms mean using the shuttle to get around
  • Long transfer from Montego Bay (about an hour and a half to neighboring Dunn’s River)

Cheapest room to book: a hillside garden-view room. For your first Ochi stay, ask us about beachside rooms, which keep you close to the action.

Pixie Tip

At the cheapest resorts, the room category is where people get surprised. Negril’s lowest-priced rooms are its older ones, and Grande Antigua mixes older affordable rooms with newly updated ones. Before you book, make sure you know what you’re getting so you don’t show up expecting a different room.

3Sandals Halcyon Beach, Saint Lucia: from $215 per person, per night

Lagoon-style pool framed by palm trees at Sandals Halcyon Beach, Saint Lucia

Verdict: the cheapest way to do Saint Lucia, with three resorts’ worth of amenities. Halcyon is the smallest and most affordable of the three Saint Lucia Sandals. Thanks to “Stay at 1, Play at 3,” you can dine and play at Sandals Regency La Toc and Sandals Grande St. Lucian too, for 27 dining options in total. Save on your room here, then spend the day at all three.

With only 194 rooms, you get real personal service. I love the meandering 540-foot Crystal Lagoon Pool and the air-conditioned Caribbean restaurant on its own 150-foot pier, which you’ll appreciate on a hot Saint Lucia afternoon. Golfers get free green fees at two courses.

Pros

  • Stay at 1, Play at 3 with both other Saint Lucia Sandals
  • Small, quiet, and low-rise (very friendly for guests with mobility challenges)
  • Five minutes from George F.L. Charles Airport (SLU)
  • Free green fees and transfers for golfers

Cons

  • Flying into Hewanorra (UVF) means a transfer of up to about two hours on curvy roads
  • Street noise in rooms numbered 700 to 800
  • No beach drink service
  • Some rooms are mid-refresh

Cheapest room to book: an entry-level garden-view room, on an upper floor if privacy matters, since ground-floor rooms sit next to busy walking paths.

4Sandals Grande Antigua: from $245 per person, per night

Hammock between palm trees on Dickenson Bay beach at Sandals Grande Antigua

Verdict: the easiest trip on this list, and a beach that punches way above its price. Grande Antigua sits on Dickenson Bay, one of the longest white-sand beaches in Antigua. Just as important to me, it’s only a 15-minute transfer from V.C. Bird International Airport. No long, curvy ride, which means more time at the swim-up pool bar.

There are 11 restaurants, the original Rondoval suites (now renovated), and two very different beach areas. The Mediterranean side is quiet with a narrow strip of sand, while the Caribbean Village has a wider, open beachfront. Don’t skip the snorkeling, and this is the resort where I’d book a sunset cruise.

Pros

  • Beautiful, long white-sand beach
  • 15-minute airport transfer
  • Great snorkeling and romantic, tropical grounds
  • Beach chairs without a 7 AM wake-up call

Cons

  • Public beach, so you’ll see local vendors
  • Room quality varies a lot by category
  • Airfare to Antigua can cost more than to Jamaica

Cheapest room to book: an entry-level room in the Caribbean Village. Ask us which buildings have been updated.

5Sandals Barbados: from $260 per person, per night

Infinity pool and cabanas at Sandals Royal Barbados, shared with guests of neighboring Sandals Barbados

Verdict: the smartest “cheap side” booking in the whole Sandals lineup. Sandals Barbados and Sandals Royal Barbados sit side by side on Maxwell Beach. When you’re on property, it’s hard to tell where one ends and the other begins. Book the less expensive Sandals Barbados side, and you still get full exchange privileges at Royal Barbados, about 20 restaurants between the two, including its rooftop pool.

Sandals Barbados has 280 rooms and suites, the first Indian restaurant at Sandals, and a quick 10 to 15-minute transfer from Grantley Adams International Airport.

Honest caveat: on my May 2024 visit, a large share of the staff was clearly new, and service was slow at times. It may have been an off stretch, but for this price point I want you to know.

Pros

  • Two resorts in one for the price of the cheaper side
  • Around 20 restaurants across both resorts
  • 10 to 15-minute airport transfer
  • Quieter pools on the Sandals Barbados side

Cons

  • The beach is pretty, but not very big
  • Service was inconsistent on my last visit
  • Rarely in the weekly 7-7-7 deal (about 18% of weeks we’ve tracked)

Cheapest room to book: the entry-level room on the Sandals Barbados side. The key move is booking the Sandals Barbados side instead of Royal Barbados.

Watch list: the low-priced Jamaica resorts that are reopening

Aerial view of Sandals South Coast on Jamaica's secluded south coast

Hurricane Melissa hit Jamaica in October 2025, and Sandals is putting $200 million into these three “Sandals 2.0” rebuilds. Traveling late 2026 or 2027? Add them to your shortlist, but don’t assume pre-closure prices will hold after a full renovation:

  • Sandals South Coast (reopens November 18, 2026): my favorite Jamaica Sandals for years. It has a 2-mile beach with barely anyone on it, overwater bungalows, and the longest swim-up pool in the Western Hemisphere. The renovation adds a new signature pool and four new restaurants. South Coast Deal Check
  • Sandals Montego Bay (reopens December 18, 2026): the original Sandals, just 5 minutes from the airport and perfect for a long weekend. You’ll hear planes, and the pools are smaller. Montego Bay Deal Check
  • Sandals Caribbean Cay (formerly Sandals Royal Caribbean, reopens December 18, 2026): home to the private offshore island and overwater bungalows, getting a full rooms-and-amenities upgrade.

Cheapest vs best value: which Sandals gives you the most for the money?

The cheapest Sandals is Negril, but the best value for most couples is Sandals Ochi. For a small difference in the nightly rate, Ochi gives you far more restaurants and activities, and it appears in the weekly 7-7-7 deal far more often. If I’m splurging on a budget, I’d book the Sandals Barbados side or step up to Dunn’s River.

Here’s how I’d actually decide:

Pick Resort From (pp/night) Why
Cheapest Sandals Negril $189 Lowest starting rate and a legendary beach, but the cheapest rooms are older and it’s rarely in the 7-7-7.
Best value overall Sandals Ochi $192 16 restaurants, nightlife, and 100 acres for about the same price as Negril, and frequently discounted further.
Best value outside Jamaica Sandals Halcyon Beach $215 Three Saint Lucia resorts and 27 dining options for the price of the smallest one.
Best splurge on a budget Sandals Barbados $260 Pay the cheaper side’s rate and enjoy Royal Barbados’s pools and restaurants.
Worth the step up Sandals Dunn’s River $310 My #1 Sandals overall. It’s the newest in Jamaica, with 12 restaurants, a rum lounge, and exchange privileges at Ochi.

Why not just book the lowest number? A cheaper resort with a two-hour transfer, a pricier flight, or an older room can end up the worse deal. At $189 per person, per night, a 7-night Negril stay for two starts around $2,646 before airfare. Stepping up to Dunn’s River at $310 works out to about $1,694 more for the same week. For some couples that’s a no-brainer, and for others it’s a flight. Either answer is fine.

Sandals Negril suite with living area, ocean view, and butler on the balcony

Pixie Tip

Want a bucket-list room without paying for it all week? Try a split stay. Book about 5 nights in a regular room and 2 to 3 nights in the overwater bungalow or butler suite. You still wake up over the water, you just don’t pay premium rates for all seven nights.

What makes some Sandals resorts cheaper than others?

Sandals prices come down to six things: the island, the room category, the season, how long you stay, what it costs to fly there, and which sister resorts you can use. The food, drinks, and tips are included everywhere, so they don’t cause the gap.

Location

Jamaica is where Sandals began, and it has the most resorts, with seven. That gives you the widest range of prices and the most competitive deals. Newer or more remote islands like Saint Vincent and Curaçao sit at the top of the price range.

Room category

Couple in a butler-level sky pool suite overlooking the beach at a Sandals resort

This matters more than most people expect. Butler suites can triple your nightly rate. At most resorts, two rooms with nearly the same view can be hundreds of dollars a night apart because one is in a pricier building. A basic Club Level room at a newer resort can also cost more than a Luxury room at an older one, so compare rooms, not just islands.

Season

High season runs from mid-December through April, when prices peak and promotions thin out. The low season, roughly June through November, brings the best rates, and sometimes a butler suite for about the price of a Club room. Want the month-by-month picture? That’s its own guide: the cheapest time to visit Sandals.

Length of stay

Many Sandals offers scale with your nights. The September 2026 sale, for example, offers an instant credit starting at $135 for 3 nights and going up to $1,500 for 10+ nights. Free-night offers usually need a longer stay too, so a longer trip can work out cheaper per night.

Airfare and transfers

Jamaica has the most flights and usually the cheapest airfare, while islands with fewer direct flights, like Grenada, often cost more to reach. Transfer times vary a lot, too. Montego Bay is 5 minutes from the airport, while South Coast and Dunn’s River are about an hour and a half away.

What’s included (and what isn’t)

Every Sandals includes gourmet dining, premium drinks, tips and taxes, airport transfers, Wi-Fi, entertainment, and water sports, including scuba for certified divers. Spa treatments, off-resort excursions, and private candlelit dinners cost extra, so budget for any you want.

How to get the lowest price at any Sandals resort

To pay the least, book early, let us watch for better offers before final payment, and check whether your resort is in this week’s 7-7-7 deal. Here’s the playbook I use for our own clients.

This beautiful Sandals Resort has the best deal for your vacation, a rondoval suite with a private swim-up pool

Book early, then let us catch the better deal

The cheapest room categories sell out first, and suites and swim-ups go months ahead. Our guests book about 129 days ahead on average. Booking early doesn’t mean missing a sale: if a better offer launches for your room category before final payment, we apply it.

Money-saving move

Sandals charges the same price whether you book on Sandals.com or with us, with no agent fee and no markup. Book with Pixie and we monitor your reservation, re-pricing it if a better offer launches before your final payment. Here’s exactly how that works.

Watch the Sandals 7-7-7 deal

Every Wednesday, Sandals takes an extra 7% off 7 selected rooms. Some of the cheapest resorts show up often, like Ochi and South Coast, which appear most weeks. Others, like Negril, Barbados, and Montego Bay, rarely do. This week’s rooms are on our Sandals 777 deals page, updated weekly.

Check whether today’s offer is actually good

Sandals always has a sale running, so the real question is whether today’s is good. Our Sandals & Beaches Deal Check grades each resort’s current offer against every offer it has run since 2022. Historically, new sales launch mostly in November, September, and January, and the Black Friday sale hit its biggest credit yet in 2025, at $2,000.

Ask about the discounts you qualify for

  • Military, police, and firefighters: Sandals offers a 10% discount on top of current promotions for active and retired military, Department of Defense employees, police officers, and firefighters with qualifying ID.
  • Repeat guests: Sandals Select Rewards members earn points they can redeem toward a future Sandals or Beaches stay.
  • Groups: a Sandals group starts at 5 rooms and can earn free-room credits. Ask us for the current terms.

Pixie Tip

Let airfare help pick your island. For many couples, the flight swings the total cost more than the room rate does. Jamaica usually has the most flights and the lowest fares. In Saint Lucia, flying into George F.L. Charles (SLU) instead of Hewanorra (UVF) can cut a transfer of up to two hours down to about 15 to 20 minutes, so price both airports.

Yes. Every Sandals includes dining, premium drinks, tips, transfers, Wi-Fi, and water sports. What changes is the resort’s size, the number of restaurants, how new the rooms are, and butler access.

For most couples, Sandals Ochi: near-bottom pricing with 16 restaurants and frequent 7-7-7 discounts. Outside Jamaica, pick Sandals Halcyon Beach, where you can use all three Saint Lucia resorts.
