March crowds at Disney pick up with Spring break. The weather is great. Kids are out on break, and Disney World has Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival.
Avoiding Disney March Crowds
Disney crowds in March start to grow. I would pick March 5-8 as a Disney vacation weekend. Ideally I would vacation at Walt Disney World March 1, when the International Flower and Garden Festival begins and leave March 8. That give you a good date range of mostly lighter predicted crowds and you get to enjoy the warm weather and beautiful landscapes at Epcot’s festival.
When the kids start getting out of school and heading to Disney World in March and the crowds will start to pick up.
Disney World March Events
- Epcot’s International Flower & Garden Festival – March 1- June 1, 2020
- Epcot’s Easter Egg-Stravaganza – Usually Mid March – April, dates to be announced
- Mighty St. Patrick’s festival at Raglan Road (Disney Springs) Around March 15-17, dates still to be announced
I rave about the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival on our Mouse Chat Podcast this time every year. I love this Disney festival and am so tired of being in the cold grey winter weather that I can’t wait to get to Disney World and be inspired by the amazing gardens. The Flower and Garden Festival does run all the way until early June, so if you miss Flower and Garden at Epcot in March, you can see it still in April and May. By the time late May, early June comes around, the hot weather starts to push some of the flowers past their prime.
Other Crowd Calendar Resources
I am happy you are here and using our WDW Crowd Calendar, but I want to share other Crowd Calendar resources with you. My favorite non-free Disney Crowd Calendar is at Touring Plans. Touring Plans also has a tool that lets you create “Touring Plans” The Touring Plans service is pretty affordable, and you can also search the webs for a Touring Plans Coupon Code to save a few dollars. What am I getting from Touring Plans? This is not an affiliate link. Touring Plans does not pay me, I just like their products and think they are a great value. Have a look.
