Growing up, my mom always made sure our Disney VHS collection was stocked with all the classics along with any of the new releases that came out. I was always quoting my favorite movies (still do!) and rocking cassettes of the soundtracks when I wasn’t watching the movies. Luckily now I can just ask Alexa to play my favorites! Riding bikes singing “Hakuna Matata”….swimming in the pool singing “Part of Your World”…I’m a Disney kid to the core!

 

My first Disney World trip was when I was about 9. I remember feeling the magic as I saw Jasmine and Aladdin on the magic carpet in the parade. THE Jasmine and Aladdin!…you know…from the movie I couldn’t stop watching at home! That excitement over seeing my favorite characters in the park has never left me since!

 

My first Disneyland trip was with my Aunt when I was very young. The only thing I remember is riding The Jungle Cruise…I guess even back then I was a sucker for those corny jokes!

 

January 2014 was my first trip to Disneyland with both my kiddos, after that trip is when my husband and I decided we needed to do that every year! There is nothing like a Disney Countdown to keep you going!
