- Mid-January through February, weekdays - shortest lines of the year.
- Weekdays after Labor Day through September - California schools back, tourists gone.
- Early November and the first two weeks of December, weekdays - holiday season without holiday crowds.
- Weekdays generally: like Disneyland, this is a locals-heavy park - a Tuesday beats a Saturday in any season.

- Halloween Horror Nights evenings (select nights Sept-Oct) - the day park closes early for the separate-ticket event; check the calendar before picking your date.
